East Central Railway Scouts & Guides Quota 2024 Notification Released
The East Central Railway, headquartered in Hajipur, Bihar, has announced exciting opportunities for eligible Indian Nationals. Applications are invited for Group C and D posts in the Headquarter and divisions of E.C. Railway under the Scout and Guide Quota of 2023-24. The deadline for receiving applications is 15th January 2024.

Age Limit: (As on 01/01/2024)
- Level-2: 18 to 30 years.
- Level-1: 18 to 33 years.
- Age Relaxation as per Govt. Rules.
Salary:
- Group ‘C’ Posts: Pay Level 2, Basic Pay ₹ 19,900/-
- Erstwhile Group ‘D’ Posts: Pay Level 1, Basic Pay ₹ 18,000/-
Eligibility Criteria:
- Group ‘C’ Posts: Matric with 12th (+2) Pass or equivalent with at least 50% marks or Course Completed Act Apprentices/ITI Pass.
- Erstwhile Group ‘D’ Posts: 10th Pass or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCBT.
Scouts and Guides Qualification:
- A President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder.
- Active member of Scouts Organization for the last 05 years.
- Should have attended two events at National Level OR All Indian Railways Level.
- Should have attended two events at State Level.

About ECR Railway Exam:
The written test will consist of 40 objective questions (40 marks) and 1 essay type question (20 marks) related to Scouts and Guides Organization, its activities, and General knowledge.
Application Fee:
- ₹ 500/- for General/OBC.
- ₹ 250/- for SC, ST, Women, Ex-Servicemen, Minorities, PwD.
- The fee should be paid through online mode.
How to Apply:
- Fill the prescribed application format in English or Hindi on A-4 size paper.
- Attach a recent passport size photograph in full Scout/Guide uniform.
- Send the application along with necessary documents to “General Manager (Personnel), Recruitment Section, E.C.Railway Headquarter Office, Hajipur, District – Vaishali, Bihar, Pin Code 844101” by Ordinary Post.
The closing date for submissions is 15/01/2024. For Far-flung area candidates and those residing abroad, the deadline is 30/01/2024.
